The SHL Human Machine Interface (HMI) user interface can be deployed for any application. The control unit can thus be linked via fieldbus to any SHL machine and a number of robot models and thus integrated into a functional whole. For KUKA robots, the HMI can be used on the KCP. For all other robot types, the HMI utilises an IPC system. With the HMI, you can see all system-relevant data at-a-glance. Process, machine and setup parameters are logged to an integrated database. The data items are summarised by the software, prepared as graphics and comprehensibly presented. With the KUKA-based version, you control and monitor your system via pre-defined softkeys. Your individual requirements can also be integrated via freely-assignable softkeys.

With IPC-based systems, the touchscreen gives you full control over your system: the graphical interface and the touch functionality give you a simple means of interacting with pre-defined queries and control signals. Even with its default set of functions and options, the HMI offers you an enormous range of possibilities. Thanks to the innovative software architecture, functional enhancements are easily added, as are specialised or personalised modifications to suit your systems and requirements.

Innovation – made by SHL: Modern software technologies were utilised in the development of HMI. For interface design in particular, ergonomics was the main focus – ensuring that your use of the system is as easy and self-explanatory as possible.
